Hi, I'm Louise
I’m a counsellor living in Kaurna Yerta /Adelaide.
I provide a kind, supportive and understanding place for you to explore and work through whatever is holding you back from living the life you want.
I mostly work with people who are:
moving through a life transition – entering or leaving a relationship, becoming an 'empty nester', changing careers, being retrenched, moving into or being in retirement, experiencing health issues and more
childless, but not-by-choice
experiencing issues that may be related to perimenopause or menopause
living with anxiety and depression
dealing with grief and loss
recovering from a substance abuse disorder
affected by someone else's alcohol or drug use
How I work
I take a trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and person-centred approach. You decide what you want to get out of therapy. We do the work together.
Therapy can help you:
take better care of yourself
process trauma, grief and childhood issues
let go of thinking or behaviour that no longer works for you
work through a short-term issue=
make choices that lead toward a more authentic, meaningful life.
Where I work - online or in-person
I offer online telehealth sessions through video conference or on the phone. All you need is a reliable internet or phone connection, and a private space to talk.
I also offer in-person sessions in North Adelaide, by arrangement.
My fees
$130 for a 50-minute session. I offer discounts for people with concession cards or on low wages. Talk to me if this is you.
My credentials
I’m a registered counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) – Reg. Certified Practicing 32192.
I hold a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from ACAP University College. I’m currently completing a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (also at ACAP).
As someone who has been through therapy myself, I understand the experience of being a client and how important it is to be listened to, understood and respected.
I practice in a way that is neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
I am committed to my professional and personal development to give you the best possible care. I work with a supervisor, am a member of a peer supervision group and belong to the Mental Health Professionals Network.
I regularly undergo additional training to ensure my skills and knowledge are up to date.

Kind. Caring. Compassionate.
I acknowledge the traditional owners throughout South Australia and pay respect to the custodians of the land on which I live. I respect their spiritual relationship with Country and acknowledge that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to those living today.
I pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and I acknowledge the cultural authority of Aboriginal people from all over Australia.
Help with change
The only certainty in life is change. So why do so many of us struggle with it?
Whether you're wanting change or running from it, I can help.
