Hi, I'm Louise

I’m a counsellor living in Tarndanya /Adelaide with my partner and our border collie.

I'm passionate about helping people who are longing for – or running from – change.

Maybe you're going through a change like perimenopause or menopause, an empty nest, redundancy or retrenchment, changing careers, experiencing health issues, entering or leaving a relationship – to name a few.

Perhaps you're stuck in anxiety or depression. Or you could be struggling with your own or someone else's addiction.

I provide a kind, supportive and understanding place for you to explore and work through whatever's holding you back from living the life you want.

I have a particular interest in working with people who are:

  • recovering from betrayal trauma – the hurt and pain caused by betrayal of trust by a partner, friend, family member, institution or community

  • childless, but not-by-choice

How I work

My approach is trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and person-centred. You decide what you want to get out of therapy. For example, you might want to:

  • take better care of yourself

  • process trauma, grief and childhood issues

  • let go of thinking or behaviour that no longer works for you

  • work through a short-term issue that’s bothering you

  • make choices that lead toward a more authentic, meaningful life.

Whatever your goals, I’m here to help you work toward them and find your own answers.

Where I work

I offer online telehealth sessions through video conference or on the phone. All you need is a reliable internet or phone connection, and a private space to talk.

My fees

$120 for a 50-minute session. I offer discounts for people with concession cards or on low wages. Talk to me if this is you.

My credentials

I’m a registered counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) – registration number 32192.

I hold a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from ACAP University College. I’m currently completing my Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy (also at ACAP).

I have the following checks:

  • Working With Children Check

  • National Criminal History Check

  • Vulnerable Person Related Employment Check

  • NDIS Worker Screen

As someone who has been through therapy myself, I understand the experience of being a client and how important it is to be listened to and respected.

I am committed to my professional and personal development to give you the best possible care. I work with a supervisor and regularly undergo additional training to ensure my skills and knowledge are up to date. Some of my training includes:
